Sample Tour Itinerary

The itinerary is subject to change. We will keep the standard high and the locations of interest included but their may be a need to re-route the tour based on the game schedules and availability.

Day 1 – May 22, 2027

Departure from the USA

• Depart from your international airport for overnight flight to Italy
• Due to the time difference, arrival scheduled the following day

Day 2 – Rome Arrival & Visit

• Arrival at Rome Fiumicino International Airport
• Meet your bilingual AIST tour manager
• Private transfer into the city center
• Guided visit of Rome
• Welcome to the Eternal City
• Overnight in Rome

Day 3 – Explore Rome

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Free time to explore Rome’s historic piazzas, shopping streets, and cafés
• Optional visits to famous landmarks such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, or Vatican area
• Evening at leisure
• Overnight in Rome

Day 4 – Florence & Tuscany

• Breakfast and departure north toward Tuscany
• Arrival in Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance
• Guided walking tour through Florence’s historic center
• Possibility of wine tasting experience (time permitting)
• Continue to Montecatini Terme for hotel check-in
• Overnight in Montecatini

Day 5 – Cinque Terre Coastal Experience

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Full-day excursion to Cinque Terre National Park
• Explore colorful coastal villages perched along the cliffs
• Time for hiking scenic trails, relaxing on the beach, and enjoying local cuisine
• Return to Montecatini for overnight

Day 6 – Lucca Bike Tour & Game 1

• Breakfast and departure from Tuscany
• Stop in Lucca for a guided bike ride along the historic Renaissance city walls
• Continue to Bra in the Piedmont region
• International Field Hockey Game #1 vs local Italian team
• Overnight in Bra

Day 7 – Turin Excursion & Game 2

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Morning excursion to the elegant city of Turin
• Explore grand boulevards, historic cafés, and cultural landmarks
• Return to Bra
• International Field Hockey Game #2
• Overnight in Bra

Day 8 – Lake Como & Bellagio Boat Cruise

• Breakfast and travel to Lake Como
• Private boat cruise across one of Italy’s most spectacular lakes
• Visit the charming lakeside village of Bellagio
• Enjoy stunning alpine scenery and relaxing lakeside atmosphere
• Overnight in Como

Day 9 – Venice Day Trip

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Rail excursion to the magical city of Venice
• Explore St. Mark’s Square, historic canals, and charming alleyways
• Time for shopping, sightseeing, and optional gondola rides
• Evening return to Como for farewell overnight

Day 10 – Return to the USA

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Transfer to Milan area airport (LIN or MXP)
• Return flight to the United States
• Arrivederci Italia!

These are only samples, actual hotels will be of similar standard.

If you would like to be included on the group flight you will need to add the option to your tour package through add-ons.

Important Notes:

Upgraded seats and deviations may not be possible depending on the airline policies for group travel.

Do not purchase any flights until AIST confirms the schedule about 4-5 months prior to departure.

To include airfare in your tour package, you must select the the add-on at check-out of your preferred option. Seats are limited at the quoted price, and if additional seats are needed, the cost may increase. Book early to secure your spot. Seats are limited and available to first come first serve. They can be added at another time if you prefer to check on booking your own flights but do not book any flights until AIST confirms a complete roster.

• Tips for driver and tour manager: We suggest 20 euros per person from each passenger for the tour manager and 15 euros per person for driver

The prices below are based on the following conditions:

• 8 night ground package

• Cost is quoted per person

• Ground Package cost only - Airfare is available separately with a group flight option - or you can purchase on your own

• Minimum 15 paying passengers for prices below

• Cost is subject to change until deposit and registration is received

• Discounts available if deposited before June 1, 2026 for players ($500) and for Friends and family ($250) until November 1, 2026. (MUST use discount codes before June 1 for player discounts)

• $500 deposit due to confirm - Refundable until Nov 1, 2026

• 6-7 months prior to departure - about 30% of total due

• 5 months prior to departure - 50% of the total cost land and air due

• About 2 months prior to departure all balances will be due and non-refundable

Cancellation fees will be kept to a minimum. However, in the event of you having to cancel part, or all your arrangements within the following, the below cancellation conditions apply. Airfare cancellation policies are separate and vary from carrier to carrier.

• The initial deposit is non-refundable ($500 per person) after November 1, 2026

• 130 – 61 days prior to departure 50%-75% of total cost land an air will be non-refundable

• 60 – Days prior to departure there will be no refunds

• Once travel has commenced, no refunds will be given. This includes any unused portion of the tour.

• WeTravel Processing fees are non-refundable (Consider Payment by Check to avoid processing fees)

REPLACEMENT PARTICIPANT INFORMATION: If a pre-enrolled participant cannot travel for any reason, a substitute may be sent in his/her place. We must receive the name of the replacement participant at least 15 days before the teams departure. If a replacement cannot be sent the Cancellation and Refund Policy stated above will be applied.

Airfare cancellation and refund policies vary by airline.

• Confirm availability of your preferred position on the travel roster

• Confirmation email will be sent within 24-48 hours not unless over a weekend or holiday. If you do not hear from us within 3 days please follow up by email

• No commitment is required - we only need the position form to check the roster and allow you the opportunity to hold a spot on the roster

• Once we are able to confirm your position = a $500 deposit is due and fully refundable until NOVEMBER 1, 2026 (cancel for any reason for full refund, less WeTravel processing fees of 3%)
