Experience the culture, history and spectacular scenery of Ireland and Scotland on this 10-day adventure. Begin with two nights in lively Galway and a journey along Ireland’s west coast to the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher and The Burren. Continue to Dublin for three nights, including guided sightseeing, the Guinness Storehouse and a day exploring Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains.

The journey continues with a short flight to Edinburgh for three nights in Scotland. Explore the historic Royal Mile, visit Edinburgh Castle, and venture to legendary St. Andrews, home of the Old Course. With a combination of guided sightseeing, outdoor adventure, historic attractions and free time, this itinerary provides a comfortable and exciting introduction to two incredible countries.

Ireland & Scotland

10 Days / 8 Nights
2 Nights Galway • 3 Nights Dublin • 3 Nights Edinburgh

Experience two incredible countries on one unforgettable journey through Ireland and Scotland. Begin along Ireland’s scenic west coast with Galway and the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, continue to Dublin with a day exploring Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains, then fly to Scotland for three nights in Edinburgh. Highlights include guided city tours, Edinburgh Castle, a ghost tour, and a full-day excursion to St. Andrews.

Day 1 – Depart USA

  • Depart the United States on an overnight flight to Ireland.

  • Dinner and overnight aboard.

Day 2 – Welcome to Ireland • Galway

Overnight: Galway

  • Arrive at Shannon Airport (preferred) or Dublin Airport.

  • Meet your full-time tour manager and private motorcoach.

  • Transfer to Galway, one of Ireland’s most lively and walkable cities.

  • Enjoy a guided introductory walking tour featuring Eyre Square, the Latin Quarter, Quay Street and Spanish Arch.

  • Hotel check-in and welcome dinner included.

  • Evening free to enjoy Galway’s traditional Irish music and atmosphere.

Day 3 – Cliffs of Moher • The Burren

Overnight: Galway

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Depart for a scenic excursion along Ireland’s spectacular west coast.

  • Included visit to the Cliffs of Moher, with time to walk the cliffside paths and take in the dramatic views over the Atlantic Ocean.

  • Scenic drive through The Burren, famous for its unique limestone landscape.

  • Stop in the traditional Irish village of Doolin for lunch and time to explore.

  • Return to Galway.

  • Free evening for dinner on your own, shopping and traditional Irish music.

Day 4 – Galway → Dublin

Overnight: Dublin

  • Breakfast and hotel check-out.

  • Depart Galway for Dublin.

  • Optional stop at Clonmacnoise, the historic monastic settlement located along the River Shannon.

  • Continue across Ireland to Dublin.

  • Hotel check-in.

  • Dublin City Tour - Guided orientation tour of central Dublin featuring O’Connell Street, the River Liffey, Georgian Dublin, St. Stephen’s Green and Temple Bar.

  • Evening at leisure.

  • Dinner on your own.

Day 5 – Discover Dublin

Overnight: Dublin

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Optional Visit Trinity College and explore Dublin’s historic city center.

  • Explore Grafton Street, St. Stephen’s Green and some of Dublin’s most recognizable landmarks.

  • Afternoon visit to the Guinness Storehouse. (Entrance included)

  • Evening free to enjoy Dublin’s restaurants, pubs and live music.

  • Dinner on your own.

Day 6 – Glendalough • Wicklow Mountains

Overnight: Dublin

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Depart Dublin for a day in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains, often referred to as the “Garden of Ireland.”

  • Visit Glendalough, a spectacular glacial valley known for its lakes, mountain scenery and ancient monastic settlement.

  • Enjoy a hike/walk through Glendalough and Wicklow Mountains National Park, with the route tailored to the group’s preferred activity level.

  • Time to explore the historic monastic ruins and surrounding countryside.

  • Return to Dublin in the afternoon.

  • Final evening in Ireland.

  • Group dinner at a local pub.

Day 7 – Dublin → Edinburgh

Overnight: Edinburgh

  • Early breakfast and transfer to Dublin Airport.

  • Morning flight from Dublin to Edinburgh. (Flight not included - Estimated at $150-250)

  • Arrive in Scotland and transfer into the heart of Edinburgh.

  • Guided walking tour featuring the Royal Mile, Old Town, St. Giles’ Cathedral, Victoria Street and Grassmarket.

  • Included admission and visit to Edinburgh Castle, dramatically situated above the city on Castle Rock.

  • Hotel check-in and evening at leisure.

  • Dinner on your own

Day 8 – St. Andrews & Coastal Scotland

Overnight: Edinburgh

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Full-day excursion to St. Andrews, one of Scotland’s most famous and historic towns. (Or you can stay an enjoy many of the free museums available in Edinburgh)

  • Free time to explore St. Andrews on your own. See the legendary Old Course and Swilcan Bridge, along with the University of St Andrews, St Andrews Cathedral ruins and coastline.

  • Free time for lunch and exploring the town.

  • Optional: Scenic stop in one of the picturesque East Neuk of Fife fishing villages on the return journey.

  • Return to Edinburgh.

  • Evening at leisure.

  • Dinner on your own

Day 9 – Edinburgh

Overnight: Edinburgh

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Continue exploring Scotland’s beautiful capital city.

  • Optional: Visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse or enjoy additional guided Edinburgh sightseeing.

  • Free afternoon for shopping, sightseeing and exploring at your own pace.

  • Optional Scotch whisky experience or a walk to Calton Hill for panoramic views over Edinburgh.

  • Farewell dinner in Edinburgh.

Day 10 – Edinburgh → USA

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Hotel check-out and transfer to Edinburgh Airport.

  • Depart Scotland for the United States.

  • Arrive home with incredible memories of Ireland and Scotland.

  • $250 deposit due to confirm - non-refundable

  • 5 months prior to departure - about 50% of the total cost land and air due

  • About 2 months prior to departure all balances will be due and non-refundable

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees will be kept to a minimum. However, in the event of you having to cancel part, or all your arrangements within the following, the below cancellation conditions apply. Airfare cancellation policies are separate and vary from carrier to carrier.

  • The initial deposit is non-refundable ($250 per person)

  • 130 – 61 days prior to departure 50%-75% of total cost land an air will be non-refundable

  • 60 – Days prior to departure there will be no refunds

  • Once travel has commenced, no refunds will be given. This includes any unused portion of the tour.

  • WeTravel Processing fees are non-refundable (Consider Payment by Check to avoid processing fees)

REPLACEMENT PARTICIPANT INFORMATION: If a pre-enrolled participant cannot travel for any reason, a substitute may be sent in his/her place. We must receive the name of the replacement participant at least 15 days before the teams departure. If a replacement cannot be sent the Cancellation and Refund Policy stated above will be applied.

To include airfare in your tour package, you must select the the add-on at check-out of your preferred option. Seats are limited at the quoted price, and if additional seats are needed, the cost may increase. Book early to secure your spot. Seats are limited and available to first come first serve. They can be added at another time if you prefer to check on booking your own flights but do not book any flights until AIST confirms a complete roster.
