American International Sports Teams (AIST) is seeking talented and dedicated high school softball players to compete on our 2027 Italy International Softball Tour. This once-in-a-lifetime experience combines international competition, cultural exploration, and unforgettable memories.

Registration is required. Space is limited.

Please note that participation in the tryout does not guarantee selection for the 2027 Italy Softball Team. Our coaching staff will evaluate each athlete throughout the tryout and make the final roster selections based on skill, athletic ability, coachability, attitude, and overall fit for the team.

Eau Claire, WI is just one of the recruiting regions. There are multiple tryouts occurring throughout the country. The final travel roster will consist of 13–15 players. We typically select athletes who are current high school sophomores through graduating seniors, though exceptional freshmen may also be considered.

If you are selected for the team, you will be responsible for the cost of your portion of the tour. Additional information regarding tour pricing, payment schedules, and fundraising opportunities will be provided to all selected players and their families.

Because this team is made up of athletes from different schools and locations around the US, there will be no team practices prior to departure.

The itinerary is subject to change. We will keep the standard high and the locations of interest included but their may be a need to re-route the tour based on the game schedules and availability.

Day 1 – Wednesday, July 21, 2027 - Departure from USA

• Depart on your overnight international flight to Italy

• Due to the time difference, arrival will be the following day

Day 2 – Thursday, July 22, 2027 - Arrival in Milan + Tournament Kickoff

• Arrival into Milan International Airport

• Transfer to Legnano area

• Tournament check-in and welcome logistics

• Dinner and overnight stay in Legnano

• Overnight in Legnano (3 nights)

Day 3 – Friday, July 23, 2027 - Tournament Competition Begins

• Breakfast at the hotel

• Full day of tournament games

• Evening team dinner and relaxation

Day 4 – Saturday, July 24, 2027 - Lake Como Private Cruise + Tournament Play

• Morning tournament games

• Afternoon highlight excursion:

  • 3-hour private boat cruise on Lake Como

• Return for evening program and dinner

Day 5 – Sunday, July 25, 2027 - Final Tournament Matches + Travel to Venice Region

• Final round tournament games

• Departure toward Padua / Mestre

• Group dinner and overnight stay - Overnight in Padua/Mestre (1 night)

Day 6 – Monday, July 26, 2027 - Venice Day Tour + Transfer to Tuscany

• Guided visit and free time in Venice

• Afternoon departure south to Montecatini
  (Approx. 4.5-hour drive — long travel day, but positions the group perfectly for the final Tuscany experience)

• Overnight in Montecatini (3 nights)

Day 7 – Tuesday, July 27, 2027 - Florence Cultural Visit + Friendly Match

• Morning excursion to Florence

• Guided walking tour and sightseeing

• Tentative friendly game vs a local Italian team

• Return to Montecatini for dinner and overnight

Day 8 – Wednesday, July 28, 2027 - Cinque Terre Full-Day Excursion + Farewell Dinner

• Full-day adventure to the stunning Cinque Terre coastal villages

• Evening special farewell experience: Dinner at Poggio Restaurant

Day 9 – Thursday, July 29, 2027 - Departure Day

• Transfer to Florence Airport - For those returning to USA (7-night Tour Package ends)

• Return flight home to the USA from Florence - End of services upon arrival at airport

EXTENSION ITINERARY

Day 9 – Thursday, July 29, 2027

Transfer from Florence to Rome + Evening in the City

• Private group transfer from Florence area to Rome

• Hotel check-in upon arrival

• Free time to explore Rome’s famous piazzas and nightlife

• Dinner on your own or optional group meal

• Overnight in Rome  

Day 10 – Friday, July 30, 2027 - Guided Tour of Rome

• Breakfast at hotel

• Half-day guided walking tour of Historic Rome (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps,

  Piazza Navona, Pantheon area)

Included entrance ticket to ONE of the following:

• The Colosseum & Roman Forum OR Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel

• Afternoon free time for shopping, sightseeing, or optional excursions

• Final evening in Rome – Dinner on your own

• Overnight in Rome (Night 2 of 2)

Day 11 – Saturday, July 31, 2027 - Departure Home from Rome

• Breakfast at the hotel

• Private transfer to Rome International Airport (FCO)

• Return flight to the USA

The prices below are based on the following conditions:

• 7 night Tour package from Milan - Florence

• Cost is quoted per person

• Ground Package cost only - Airfare is available separately with a group flight option - or you can purchase on your own

• Minimum 15 paying passengers for prices below

• Cost is subject to change until deposit and registration is received

• Discounts available for Friends and family ($250) if deposited by November 1, 2026.
